TELEPHERIQUE + MAURIZIO BIANCHI - 'Zehn Tage (Touka)' CDR (AFE Records)

The concept of "Zehn Tage (Touka)" or "Ten Days" is focused on the uselessness of time calculation compared to the precision of time itself. The title refers and is dedicated to those forgotten 10 days of History that were severed off in October 1582 during the Pope Gregorius XIII's Western Calendar Reformation. "Zehn Tage (Touka)" could be described best as a mixture of Ambient and Concrete music, and even delves into psychedelic-tinged rhythmical territories. Presented in a professionally printed sleeve.

TERG / MENSCH SCHMERZ INTERAKTION - 'Verdrängen' CDR (VENE)

This split fucks with your sanity. First Dutch act Terg destroys everything in your head with three tracks in the new style as proposed on "Instinctive death", leaving behind only chaos and disorder. Fast, harsh noise for fans of Incapacitants! Then German project Mensch Schmerz Interaktion infiltrates and infects with hypnotising, brainwashing sounds. Not just brutal, but also atmospheric reminding of PE projects like Control. Standard PVC slip.

THE HOLLOWING - 'Sepsis' CDR (Live Bait Recording Foundation)

The sonic abhoration of the late Matt Gibney (also known for his label The Rectrix). Brutal sampled loops, grating metal shrieks and blistering electronic assaults. “Violence and bloodshed, wrapped in the finest Armani…”. Debut album from 2001. Ltd x 100 copies in a DVD case.

THE OUTSIDER - 'Nekromusicritual' CDR (Sadisque)

Based on the story by the American author H.P. Lovecraft all the material on this CD is ascribed to dreams and visions influenced by readings of the work. Lovecraft's story can be interpreted in any number of ways and to attempt a description of this CD material is meaningless. Limited to 200 copies only.

THEE FREE - 'Welcome To Liberty City' CDR (Freenoise)

The most inventive and progressive album so far from Thee Free. At times imaginative and always very free, even when soaked in (sporadic) heavy rhythms or walls of harsh noise. Mangled radio output and voice samples blend with abusive storms of coloured noise, drums, clarinet, flutes and heavy electric guitars make twisted and psychedelic appearances. Certain tracks show how the total (sometimes very gradual) deterioration of a 'tune' can amount to something just as, if not more, engaging. We are also offered hope from the words of a yogi in the midst of this warped sonic landscape during 'Juice Bug'... 'Coily' was recorded on the day of the announcement of Coil artist Johnn Balance's passing. The album title is in tribute to Mark Stewart and the Mafia's track 'Liberty City'.

THY VIOLENT ENTITIES - 'Come To Dust' Pro-CDR (Palace Of Worms)

Side-project from two members of the electro medieval act O Quam Tristis, with Emeric Lenotz. The album is based upon rare poetry from William Shakespeare. Thy Violent Vanities’ music is supported by ancient or traditional instruments: krumhorn, dulcimer, mandola, flutes… mixed to bass and guitars, laid down on soft waves of keyboards, electronic rhythm patterns and loops. This record is a gloomy one, but not as dark as you might guess.

TIDAL - 'The Four Rivers' CDR (Alluvial)

Artist D. Brownstead invokes four ideas through four different tracks, each inspired by the Japanese writer and nationalist Yukio Mishima, who committed ritual suicide in 1970. Soft rumbles, distant bells, brooding, atonal, ominous atmospheres convey the idea of a river at night. Klaxon dirges pierce the night-veil between this and the place of the dead spirits. If ever a piece of music had the power to raise those who have passed on, this is it. Presented in a textured card package.

TIERMES - 'Malahvia' CDR (Saaren Levy)

A nice self-release from the Finnish duo. Temple of Tiermes' music varies from sludgy guitars tracks (ala Skullflower) to minimal ambient soundscapes (ala Dual or Troum). Includes a large printed poster, and the whole thing is wrapped inside a black sheet and tied with rope. Highly recommended!

TÔLE ACHE - 'A Pure Black Night' CDR (PsychKG)

Tole Ache (David Dufour) plays old-school French Industrial music on very old industrial equipment - tape recorders, analogue synthesizers, frequencies generator, analogue effects, microphones, noise generators, video recorder. No digital effects of any form. Heavy duty. This release was censored for several years due to extremely explicit content. 2nd edition of only 90 copies, released in a DVD case.

TRUE COLOUR OF BLOOD - 'The Significance Of Secrecy' CDR (AFE Records / Eibon Records)

Take your musical pre- (and mis-) conceptions and leave them at the door. Form, melody, rhythm, chords: these words represent nothing but rules, barriers and walls which only serve to limit the places where "music" can exist or reach towards. The music of True Colour Of Blood (Eric Kesner) can best be described as "Ambient" or “Dark Ambient”, but manages to break even the rules (if there are any?) of this genre by making his music with only guitars instead of the usual array of synths and samplers. Limited to 250 numbered copies in a professionally printed gatefold sleeve.

TSCHELJABINSK65 - 'The Demons Of Iron' CDR (Beverina)

Second album from this mysterious German project – this album released on the Latvian label, BEVERINA. Dark ambient mix effortlessly with acoustic guitars, and martial semi-classical moments to create an excellent album. Tragically limited to just 121 copies, and only a handful in stock – so hurry for this one.

TSCHELJABINSK65 - 'Titan Woods / Ancient Forest' CDR (Tosom)

A German project in the area of Dark Ambient. The project combine soundscapes with elements from Neo Folk (acoustic guitar and flute) and fill the compositions with different atmospheres, like spiritual influences, with very melancholic and melodic moments. This release is supposed to be understood as the musical expression of human's natural roots still to be found in modern individual's unconsciousness. A clashing of the origins of European soul versus the materialism of todays society. Limited and numbered edition of 200 copies only, in a card folder sleeve.

TSCHELJABINSK65 + NULLKOMMAJOSEFH - 'Der Baum Der Wünsche Erfüllt' CDR (Tosom)

The folks behind this recording are impossible for the western tongue to pronounce correctly - TSCHELJABINSK65 and NULLKOMMAJOSEFH - but together they come up with 50 minutes of material spread over two tracks. The sounds range from dark ambient to a more experimental feel with the disc itself packaged in a DVD case and limited to a run of 200 copies. If you are familiar with T65 from their previous CDRs, then this is another worthy addition to your collection.
