SEVEN MORGUES - 'Something To Cry About' CDR (House Of The Last Light)

First release on this Israeli label. "Something To Cry About" features seven tracks and about one hour of dark electronic ambient/industrial with piano and bells. Seven Morgues (aka Raphael Tetro, Yaron Allouche and Oren Ben Yosef) also hail from Israel. Reminds me of the sonic experiments of Nurse With Wound and Coil in places. Features nice artwork a nail (the significance of which I'm not sure) along with hand-sprayed CDR. Limited, naturally.

SIKHARA – ‘Sunken City’ CDR (Rape Art Prods.)

First release from this Equadorian label. Utilising both machinery and acoustic elements, Californian act Sikhara creates a disturbed enviroment of ritualistic post-indusrial sounds. Manipulated sources of primitive voices are collaged into a hypnotic new language, which melds instinctively with animalistic tribal percussion. 5 tracks. Ltd x 50 hand-numbered copies with colour artwork in a PVC sleeve.

SILVERTHREAD / CARTAGRA - 'Secretum Clausum Mansit In Ore Construktoris Sui / ...Behind The Gates Of Hell...' Pro-CDR (Beverina)

Split release between these two Dark Ambient / Ritual / Death Industrial projects. The Silverthread material was recorded between 1996 and 2003 in different audio-mental sessions. Cartagra recorded their part in 2004. Reminds of Archon Satani 'Mind Of Flesh & Bones' era. Pro-duplicated black CDR, limited to just 150 copies in a DVD case.

SONS OF BRONSON - 'Niñas Y Marisco' Pro-CDR (Mano Dura)

Abrasive, wild, intense, harsh noise / power electronics. Provably the most aggressive album to come out from the city of Barcelona in 2005. They seem to be influenced by early sick industrial classics to now dig into raw noise dynamics, death-ambient unstructured structures, as visceral as it could ever be. Seemingly improvised slabs of noise and sound experimentations which should appeal to daily consumers of Prurient, Bastard Noise or Merzbow. The members are also involved in the metal projects Bukkakke and Música Veneno. A release for die-hard noise fans!

SOUND_00 - 'Sound_10' CDR (Deserted Factory)

One of the monikers under which Macedonian artist Antonio Dimitrov appears, producing harsh noise, power electronics, sine waves and ambient structures in categorical digital combination. Ltd x 99 copies only in plastic wallet. Japanese import.

STEPHAN FRIEDMAN - 'Music For Theatre' CDR (T'an! Kaven!! Ash!!!)

Stephan Friedman is the man behind the Dark Folk / Dark Ambient project Silence and Strength. This work was composed for and commissioned by the Jaffa-based Notzar Theatre for an avantgarde theatrical play. "STOM!" (Shut up!) is an absurd play about absurd life. It tells the tale of a person in a modern society who has no say in society. He is being humiliated, thrown around, beaten, stamped upon from birth till death. Over an hour of ambient layers, scourging electronics and original poetry. Ltd x 55 hand-numbered copies in a digifile. On the side label of The Eastern Front. Israeli import.

STEVE BRAND - 'Awakensong' CDR (AFE Records)

Steve Brand (Augur) creates atmospheres, alarmingly austere, with varying shades of grey, drenched in allusion and a heightened sense of cinematic noir for the listener. According to his own words, "emotional aspects of a recording always come first". "Awakensong" was recorded and mixed by Steve Brand in early 2005, and is a highly enjoyable excursion into good meditative / ritual / tribal Ambient music. The album utilises a vast array of traditional musical instruments, found and hand-made objects, alongside electronics. Ltd x 100 in a pro-printed sleeve.
