JOHANN WLIGHT - 'Yvnshrynd' Pro-CDR-EP (Queasy Listening)

A 23 minute psychogeographic meditation, ‘yvnshrynd’ weaves together a series of recordings gleaned from Wlight's immediate environment. Recorded in Suffolk 2005, ‘yvnshrynd’ has evolved organically from intricate sound studies, serendipitous discoveries at temporally significant points and with a spirit of ludic yet disciplined experimentation. The key philosophical theme behind the music on ‘yvnshrynd’ is the glyph for Virgo, taking its cue from Ean Begg in The Cult Of The Black Virgin. Wlight’s delicate and methodical approach has mined a beautifully layered and wonderfully restrained piece of music.
