BAD ACID - 'TAB 4' DVD-R + Fanzine

Bad Acid is a UK-based bi-annual DVD-R / MP3 magazine, featuring general warped music (psychedelic, sludge, experimental, dark ambient, harsh metal, noise, extreme electronica, space rock, acid folk, ethereal soundscapes etc). Presented in an A5 digifile with a massive B&W fanzine (103pp) featuring lots of interviews and reviews. The DVD (108min) features: Isis, Witchcraft, Church of Misery and others, with an additinoal huge MP3 section (5hrs, 43mins!) of music.

BARARUM - 'Danu's Rebirth' CDR (OMS Records)

The basic theme of the album is taken from Nik Perumov's novel "The Diamond Sword / The Wooden Sword", whose magical but realistic and bright images have been Bararum's inspiration. Flying fifes tempo and unordinary fiddle parties make compositions really swift and versatile. Neither pseudo-Celtic folk nor Slavic tunes, but a certain alloy of new pseudo-ethnic melodies and the modern approach of music creation. Fifty minutes of sound represent ten themes. Each composition tells about the certain episode or the hero of the book. Nice piece from this Ukrainian act. Ltd x 99 hand-numbered copies in black cardboard envelope with silver print.

The inspiration for this recording is described by the artist himself: "Free associations in a sound on a theme of the childhood of sexual maniacs". BEINHAUS - 'Ein Aus' Enhanced CDR (Beinhaus)

Fourth self-release from this German act, now in its tenth year. Electronics, heavy percussion, experiments with piano, metal, wood and glass. The music is not only harsh, but also melodic with male and female vocals. We cannot describe just how much the male vocalist sounds like Blixa Bargeld! Some very Neubauten-eque tracks along with more dance-orientated affairs ala Das Ich. Includes a video track (Mpeg) for ‘Nur Einmal’. Comes in DVD box with inserts. Recommended!

BESTIA CENTAURI - 'The Andediluvian Earth' CDR (AFE Records)

Bestia Centauri is a solo electronic music project, begun in 1999. The aim of Bestia Centauri is to create sonic landscapes that convey a sense of the numinous, the horrific, and the extra-human. Its sounds have much in common with those of electroacoustic music, but the compositional structures generally display a much greater sense of flow. Unlike the Dark Ambient works to which it is sometimes compared, the music of Bestia Centauri is dynamic and often disorienting, like the strange angles of the architecture of R'lyeh. Limited to 150 copies in a professionally printed sleeve.
